Institute for Integrated Systems

The Institute for Integrated Systems was founded on 20 January 2010 as an institution of the EAH's Department of Electrical and Information Engineering.

The Institute's field of activity comprises the designing of optoelectronic and mixed-signal circuitry components. From the aspect of "Design for Manufacturing", research assignments for mixed-signal, multi-nature system components of optoelectronic circuits are carried out. Practical measurements will help solve problems of reliability and ruggedness of circuit designs and allow conclusions to be drawn as to the designing process. Another focus is on designing and testing complex mixed-signal systems.

In the environment of the Jena University of Applied Sciences there are quite a number of small and medium-sized companies with a traditional focus on optical and optoelectronic products in combination with the general development towards complex, integrated systems. They are interested in contract R & D for the designing, verification, testing and characterizing of such systems. It is satisfying their needs that the Institute was established for.
