Career Opportunities:
It goes without saying that career prospects for mechanical engineers continue to be excellent. The broadly based course of studies leading to the Master of Engineering (M. Eng.) degree qualifies graduates for interesting and challenging careers in many sectors of industry, e.g. in mechanical engineering and plant engineering and construction, the automotive industry, the aerospace industries, environmental engineering, medical engineering and the optical industry, research and development facilities, assembly and construction, service and consulting. The in-depth scientific training makes graduates of the Master’s degree course particularly well-fitted for research-intensive employment. Furthermore, the Master’s degree qualifies graduates for a career in the higher grades of the public administration, both at Federal and State level. It also qualifies particularly able students to study for a PhD after they have obtained their Master’s degree.

Entry Requirements:
The entry requirement for admission to the Master's degree course is a successfully completed course of engineering studies (e.g. mechanical engineering, precision engineering, automotive engineering or the like) leading to the award of a diploma or a Bachelor's degree (a minimum seven semesters with 210 ECTS Credits. Exceptions can, however, be made).
